Artist Biography

Born in 1984 in Oberhausen, Germany, Uğur Ulusoy has an extensive educational background in fine arts, industrial design, and architecture. His academic journey includes studying at several prestigious institutions in Germany, Spain, and Turkey. From 2016 to 2019, Uğur pursued a diploma in Fine Arts at HBK-Braunschweig, Germany, where he worked under renowned artists such as Norbert Bisky and Hartmut Neumann. During the same period, he earned a Master's degree in Industrial/Transportation Design. Prior to this, he completed a degree in Architecture at TU-Braunschweig between 2005 and 2013, which included internships at Emre Arolat Architects in Istanbul (2007) and D´Aura+Sofar Architecture in Barcelona (2011-2012). He also participated in an Erasmus program at Universidad de Alicante, Spain, in 2010-2011. In 2019- 2020, Uğur furthered his expertise with master-classes at HBK-Braunschweig under Hartmut Neumann and at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe, working with Franz Ackermann. Before embarking on his academic career, Uğur worked as a market crier in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, from 1987 to 1990. His diverse professional and educational experiences highlight a deep commitment to both the artistic and architectural fields.
