Faces

Suretler/Faces is a group exhibition featuring a collection of works by various artists from the Bora Collection. The exhibition brings together large-scale works by seven different artists under a common concept. The term ‘suret’ which means face or visage, also signifies form, appearance, and image. Art is much like this—it presents a reality to us, yet this reality is a kind of representation or image of the truth. This exhibition offers viewers the opportunity to explore the representation of images through faces in painting.

The exhibition includes works by Kadir Akyol, Serkan Aydoğdu (Muninn), Hakan Esmer, İlke Kutlay, Nurdan Likos, Bogdan Mateias, and Ahmet Sarı and can be seen at the Summart Art Center until September 3, 2016.
